Tips on How to Organize the Mudroom

A mudroom, if organized properly can be more than a place to keep your muddy shoes. By simply adding storage, shelving and hooks to your mudroom you can turn the messiest room in the house into the cleanest.

Having proper storage in your mudroom is very important to maintaining a well organized room. To make the most out of the space allotted try and stick to vertical built-ins. Install shelves for footwear and any recreational equipment. If there is room you might want to add a bench for a place to put your shoes on. I recommend adding doors to some of the built-ins to easily disguise the clutter inside.

Add some wall hooks to your mudroom to store your coats, scarves, wet clothes or bags you may have. If you have kids you might want to place a couple within their reach as well.
