Fall Closet Cleaning

Mike Merritt • Apr 03, 2018

  • Make sure you have enough storage for items you won’t be wearing for a while. Many people opt for large black garbage bags, but plastic bins and totes are a better way to go.
  • Use this time to get rid of things you can’t fit or won’t wear. Either donate your items or sell them for some extra cash.
  • Try grouping like items together. For examples, sweaters shouldn’t be mixed with holiday formal wear. Separating items not only looks neater, but it’ll make your items easier to find.
  • You’ll also feel better if you take the time to truly clean your closet. Vacuum the floors. Wipe down the walls. Dust off your shelves. Add a plug in or some other type of air freshner.
