De-Clutter Your Medicine Cabinet

Mike Merritt • Apr 03, 2018

Bathrooms are one of the quickest rooms in the house to become disarrayed. The explanation is simple: we use our bathrooms more than any other room. And many of our smallest items – prescription bottles, dental floss, tweezers and hair clips – are very easy to become a jumbled mess in no time. Here are a few tips to keep your medicine cabinet and your bathroom countertop in check.

  • Utilize your medicine cabinet only for items you use regularly. Everything else should be stored elsewhere.
  • Clear jars and glasses are simple ways to separate and organize smaller items like Q-tips, cotton balls, hair accessories, razors and more.
  • If you’re really methodical, try lining your most used items longer your sink countertop. The item you use the most would be positioned closest to you while the item you use the least (but still regularly) is farther away.
  • Plastic pumps and bottles are a great way to color coordinate and organize lotions, shampoos, conditioners, rubbing alcohol, etc. Be sure to label them before you forget!
