Find Extra Storage Space in Your Home

Posted on January 27, 2011

After you’ve been living in the same humble abode for a while, it’s easy to miss opportunities to make your space more efficient. Below are just a few ways to find extra storage space you never knew you had!

  • If you have a closet that barely gets used, consider transforming it into a mini office. Use the space to do your work, and then close the closet door(s) when your work is done.
  • Do you have room underneath a staircase in your home? If so, this is a great place to shelve books, linens, or anything you want!
  • Most new model televisions can be mounted to a wall, eliminating the need for a bulky, space swallowing entertainment stand.
  • Take inventory of your kitchen cabinets. Be honest about which items you need and which ones you haven’t touched in months or even years. Those untouched items can be donated or sold, leaving you with plenty of extra space.
