5 Home Organization Tips for 2011

Mike Merritt • Apr 03, 2018

The New Year is always a time for people to start fresh with new goals, aspirations and wishes for the next 12 months. If organizing your home is one of your feats for 2011, here are a few tips to get started, courtesy of Houzz.

Instead of massive piles of paper all over your desk, use decorative contact paper to adorn clip boards and hang them to your office or kitchen wall.

on’t fall into the trap of the junk drawer. Keep odds and ends organized in unused cups, mugs and containers.

Think outside the box. A hanging shoe rack can be used to store a lot more than just shoes. Bathroom toiletries or pantry items are a great fit as well.

Cubby holes near the front door help to keep winter essentials like damp coats and muddy boots from damaging the rest of the house.

Another way to keep desks uncluttered is by using giant bulletin boards to pin to-do lists, calendars, handouts and other important documents and reminders.
